The lawmaker, representing Ilesa West state Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon Wale Adedoyin made this known in chat with newsmen during the unveiling of a new album titled 'Merriment', by Bisi Afefe & the Breeze ,held at the foundation Hotel, Ilesa.
Hon Adedoyin, popularly known as 'Eyi Yato' who expressed surprised at the array of talents exhibited by Afefe ,and other artistes that performed at the occasion, drew attention of people to the immense potentials of the human mind and the endless possibilities offered by creativity and innovation.
“this event put together by Bisi Afefe underscores the strategic importance of the younger generation of inventors, scientists, authors, musicians, artistes, etc., to the future of mankind and the sustenance of national aspirations in our increasingly knowledge-driven world,” said Hon Adedoyin.
While reiterating his interest to encourage and harness intellectual property of talented youths in Ilesa ,and environs, Hon Adedoyin urged the youth to work heard, get the best western education they could, and show the world the talents God has blessed them with.
Hon Adedoyin said he was proud of the creative talents exhibited by Bisi Afefe & the Breeze, promising to give him (Bisi Afefe) and other talents a hundred percent support.
Eyitato, as he fondly called by his supporters also stressed that the spirit of creativity and excellence should be inculcated in Nigerian children and they should be given all the required support to enable them realize their God-given talents to be the best in their areas of passion.
According to him, “Our school curriculum should be balanced in both academic learning and the sharpening of creative skills, to catch the talents young and give them the required support as being done in the developed nations.
Earlier , the convener, Bisi Afefe had thanked everyone who have been supporting his music career, that included Hon L.B Ayeni MHR, Hon Wale Adedoyin, Otunba Jare Ayo Martins General Manager Uniq 103.1 FM, popular gospel musician Femi Solar who was at the occasion, Atabatubu from Orisun Television, Lagos , Olajide Tomisin -the Street Bishop, Akolade Adekola (OBO), and a host of others for standing with him this far.
He also urged his teeming fans in Osun and beyond to grab their copies of the album, and enjoy it as usual,promised never to let them down.
