Youths across the federation have been charged not to lose hope on the future of Nigeria.
Hon Ola-Babajide Ojeniyi made this known while addressing some youths in Ipetu-Ijesa, Osun State.
Hon Ojeniyi who was accorded a rousing welcome back home by the people of Ipetu-Ijesa on Monday, expressed optimism that the country could be changed for the better if the younger generation would strive to change the status quo and redeem the nation’s battered image through hard work, prayers diligence and patriotism.
The member of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) said the the federal government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari has given the template for good governance, and youths are ready to take charge.
Hon Ola-Babajide Ojeniyi urged the youths never to give up on the country.
While speaking on what it entails to lead, Hon Ojelabi described leadership as the ability to mobilise, have a vision and inspire, as well as the ability to take people from one place to a better one.
According to him, leadership is not about title, but about making an impact in the society.
He also charged parents to encourage their children to actively involve in politics, saying it is worrisome that Nigeria is a nation where most intelligent youths do not want to go into politics because they see it as dirty.
The Ipetu-Ijesa born businessman cum politician also observed that farmers in the rural areas must be given necessary supports, to encourage farming as being done in other climes, to achieve mass food production and security in the country
